Sorry, this is my fault. I ended up playing in a less-than-friendly "friendly" six a side match last night and so didn't get home until late. Scored twice in a 5-5 draw, though....

Fulham 1-2 Liverpool
Middlesbrough 2-0 Bolton
West Ham 2-0 Derby

Newcastle 4 - 1 mackem scum

Forget the other games this weekend. They're of no consequence. Although I'd like Boro to get a point at Bolton so they stay above the mackems as well. having said that, 3 points for Bolton would have them snatching at the inbreds' scraggy coat-tails...

I should mention also that my "friendly" six a side match last night ended up with one of my team-mates breaking his ankle....

Ouch. In midweek we had a broken ankle, a broken fibula and crushed ribs with a possibility of a splenectomy being required.

All staff making the most of their last days on the slopes before the season ends over here. Whoops.

I've been very remiss in making my predictions lately - perhaps because I was sick of team loyalties making me predict draws that I knew would never happen... Anyway, time to get back into the swing of things.

Arsenal 3 - 0 Reading
Blackburn 1 - 2 Man Utd
Fulham 0 - 2 Liverpool
Middlesbrough 2 - 0 Bolton
West Ham 3 - 0 Derby
Wigan 1 - 0 Spurs
Aston Villa 1 - 1 Birmingham
Man City 1 - 1 Portsmouth

... and the only game that matters...

Newcastle 2 - 0 Sunderland

Wildcards:
Colchester 0 - 2 Coventry
Nottm Forest 3 - 0 Luton
Wrexham 1 - 1 Notts County
Falkirk 4 - 0 Gretna
