For those of you who think non-league football (specifically the North West Counties League Division One) is full of talentless pot-bellied cloggers, have a gander at this. As good as anything you will see in the Premiership this season.
That's quality - especially the way that they disguised the kick-off.
It was however beaten by Alonso's effort against Newcastle tonight, who won the ball and took it past the referee before scoring from inside his own half, and behind the centre-circle.
Plus, it was his first goal since the 7th January when he scored from 40 odd yards against Luton.
Just in case anyone still hasn't seen it, here it is
You're right about Harper's slip though, perhaps if Given hadn't picked up an injury last Saturday that was likened to one from a car-crash, he might have saved it.

Gotta love this game!
Alonso's goal was fab and good for Kuyt to kick start his goal-scoring career for the Reds!
...but he wouldn't have scored had the keeper not slipped over would he?
Fantastic goal...
The dirty cheating bast%^d (ronaldo) will be trying that on saturday.....
Didn't see alonso's goal but he probably miss hit hit, bounced of a few players arses, and an eagle picked it up and dropped it in the goal...
Spot on Lord B. If Harper hadn't slipped it would have been Alonso looking rather foolish. Admirably audacious all the same, I suppose.
