Predictions time again people.

Chelsea 2-0 Aston Villa
Everton 2-0 Man City
Sheff Utd 1-1 Middlesbrough
Blackburn 2-1 Wigan
Man Utd 3-1 Newcastle

And wildcards from FA cup qualifying…

Frankly your guess is as good as mine, but that’s the whole point, isn’t it?

Lord B - if you want to be pedantic, you should go and blame the BBC. It's wrong on their fixture list (although I note that the same club was a "town" as late as the 2001/2 season and has only recently become a "united").

Swiss "interesting" Toni

ah, hmmm.

"Hastings United Football Club was founded in 1894 and, until the 1985/86 season, were playing in the Sussex County League. The club has previously played under the banner of Hastings & St.Leonards and, until the 2003/04 season, played under the name of Hastings Town."

name and colour change only, apparently, but their website doesn't illuminate me on why they changed.

The BBC should get with the programme and live in the now, man!

Swiss "now not even interesting" Toni

Point of interest (or not) - as Jonny has already mentioned, it's the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne today. I happened to see a bit of the build up coverage on tv this morning and who should pop up as a guest but bloody Alan Shearer! He's just as boring on Aussie tv as at home - but at least he knows something about 'soccer'!
Sheesh.

apparently that was a brilliant game too, Sarah - maybe Jonny can tell us all about it?
