Andy Mutch for Wolverhampton Wanderers (v Burnley), Sunday 29 May 1988

Ah, the winning goal in the 1988 Sherpa Van Trophy at Wembley Stadium.

Happy Days!

Andrew Todd Mutch. Legend.

Does this answer any outstanding questions there might be about my football allegiances?

Ah, so you're a Wolves fan? That explains the penchant for Cricket, I suppose.

Andy Mutch chatted up my mate in Eves nightclub in Wolverhampton.

It wasn't the in-thing to go out with footballers in those days. Or perhaps she just didn't fancy him...

Still have my Wolves pin from one of my visits to the Molineux.

Andy Mutch? jesus.

does he qualify as a legend in Wolves-land for scoring the winner in a pointless transit-monikered football tournament, then?

Ah, a piece of silverware that isn't in the Old Trafford trophy cabinet.

It's ours. Our very own. Our precious....

Sorry Swiss, I smell a rat. Your demeanour (at least as far as it comes across in writing) is far too cheery for a Wolves fan. If you really were, then your blog would be one long grumble.

I used to treasure my Andy Mutch panini sticker.... Before I came to my Stokie senses, of course.

Mind you, have I ever mentioned that my Dad played for Wolves boys?

ben - I'm also quite friendly with a West brom fan, and we often exchange supportive comments about each other's seasons.

I think I might get excommunicated for admitting that kind of thing, but there you are.
